With the unusual characteristic of throwing the light forward through the glass, not reflecting it back as most other obscure or translucent glasses do, UMU switchable privacy glass panels are ideal for rear projection screens. The picture clarity of rear projection onto UMU is near perfect, with the added advantage of being able to switch it to a clear window.

This opens up a whole new concept with the use of display advertising, training rooms and video conference facilities. One technique is to use an UMU screen in translucent mode and project an image from behind the screen using a video or slide projector. If desired the screen can be switched to transparent mode at the same time as turning off the projector to reveal a display behind the glass screen.

UMU 瞬間切換調光玻璃之特性及優點

UMU玻璃的組成為膠合玻璃，其強韌而富粘著力的中間膜，可將兩片玻璃緊粘在一起而不易破碎，即使破裂，亦無玻璃碎片飛散的危險。

5.可配合使用各種電子信號的感應裝置：
因為電子訊號可持作UMU之調光切換，所以任何可轉換為電子訊號之感應裝置訊號皆可運用。這個理想已成功的使用在展示及建築上了
